The A8 CryptoMaster is Innosilicon's first entrance into the CryptoNight mining market. You may know Innosilicon initially from is first ASIC miner, A4 Dominator. This miner primarily support the Litecoin network. Next we had the A5 Dashmaster that support the X11 algorithm which Dash is the most popular coin to be mined. The A8 CryptoMaster is used to min Monero, an alt-coin that is growing in popularity and support. We have proof positive that this is the case with companies spending the money on research and chip development to make a fully functional miner.
The design is very similar to an Antminer except that this unit is double the width of a standard Antminer. The A8 has a massive eight (8) hashboard spread across the aluminum case. It has the same standard controller board and four cooling fans. Web-based interface for the miner and a simple setup via a webpage to program your pool information and monitor the miner's hashing progress. The A8 CryptoMaster products around 160kh/s while only consuming 350 watts of electricity. At 208 volts you can run about 10 miners on a 20-amp circuit.
